I’m very happy to be included in the 2019 group of finalists for the Greenway Art Prize being held at @art est art school gallery with my sculpture “River Chicken”, made from recovered single-use plastic.
This was awarded Highly Commended in the Cooks River Small Sculpture award.
This is a fantastic show with a great local vibe, I reccomend you get along for a look. Selected works travel on to Dulwich Hill and Bankstown venues for extensions of the exhibition. Details on flyer below.
I’m very happy to be included in the 2019 group of finalists for the Georges River Art Prize to be held at @hurstvillemuseumgallery with my painting “Carss Park, bathed”.
This painting was completed in the studio after my Carss Park Artist Cottage Artist Residency.
Good luck to all other exhibiting artists, it should be a great show. #georgesriverartprize
I’m very happy to have had my painting Drummoyne #2 selected as a finalist for the 2018 Mosman Art Prize.
As far as local government prize exhibitions go, its a cracker. Always good work, big names, big prizes and quality judging.
Winners announced 25/7, exhibition runs to 18/11, check it out if you can.
First painting completed during residency at Carrs Park. This 20×20 is a view from Victoria Rd, homeward bound, looking towards White Bay. More soon.
Completed fortnight residency at the new Carss Park Artist Cottage thanks to Georges River Council. Applications are open to use this facility but as a winner of the St George Art Prize I’m one of few offered a free run before the program starts to give feedback on its functionality. A few pics here including work initiated during stay.
Recently Spencer P Jones left us. This is a portrait from 2009 following a solo gig at The Sandringham Hotel in Newtown, which has sadly also left us. The work was part of Anthea Polson Art’s portrait show of 2010 and now in a private collection. RIP Spencer.
I always love being involved in The Exquisite Palette Show put on by St Lukes Artist Colourmen. This time being held at Tacit Galleries. Photos via their Instagram pages.
